It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon as I sit with my laptop making my first post here, while enjoying the view through the large glass door. The NASCAR race is on the tube providing PLENTY of noise in the background. Dad is sitting closeby eating and waiting for the race to begin.
T: Dad, could you turn that down a bit?
D: What?
T: Never mind...
I didn't catch the name of the girl who sang the National Anthem but she delivered an excellent performance that gave me chill bumps. I'll have to look her up later, or maybe you could make a post here and let me know.
T: Wow, she is really good!
D: Pretty good, a least she got the words right, and a lot of them at Knights stadium can't even sing. She shouldn't change the way it was originally written though.
T: I like to hear some personalization in it.
D: Personalization as in their own voice, they should sing it like it was written.
T: (thinking...ok dad..whatever...nuff conversation.)
Speaking of great performers, I was recently introduced to the music of Norah Jones from her "Come Away with Me" cd. Awesome. I think I'm in love.....and she has to be so pretty too!
